Canadian Experience Class Immigration

Canadian Experience Class

All Economic Class programs aim to bring immigrants to Canada that can establish themselves economically in the country. As part of the Economic Class, the Canadian Experience Class is managed by the Express Entry program. Estimated processing times are currently six months once an Invitation to Apply (ITA) is received.

You must first meet these program requirements to be eligible to apply:
-Have full time, professional or technical of at least one year of experience in Canada within 36 months of the application date. Self-Employment or work experience acquired during full-time studies does not count.
-The job experience must be in a Managerial job (NOC skill level 0), Professional job (NOC skill type A), skilled trades or technical jobs (NOC skill type B)
-Meet the minimum language requirement score of CLB 5 or CLB 7 on the Canadian Language Benchmark, depending on the extent of the job
-Plan to live and work outside of Quebec (individuals with work experience in Quebec and who plan to stay in Quebec may apply to the Quebec Experience Class).

Final Criteria before getting Permanent Residence:
Candidates selected from the Express Entry Pool, and given an Invitation to Apply (ITA), and their dependents, must complete a medical examination and obtain security clearance as part of the Canadian immigration application process.

Valid option for International Students

Once a program or course of study has been completed at a Canadian educational institution, graduates may remain in Canada and work towards post-graduate work permits. After a graduate has obtained one year of work experience in Canada, in a skilled, professional or technical field, they may be eligible to apply for residency under the Canadian Experience Class.
